How leading employers are incorporating A Game training and improving the work ethic in their culture, often with no initial out of pocket costs, but always with a significant ROI.

"We only interview/ hire A Game certified employees." Because of the obvious advantages of hiring teens and young adults who have been trained in work ethic and are prepared to Bring Their A Game to Work, employers require applicants to provide proof of A Game certification as a condition of gaining an interview. Those applicants who are not already certified may be granted a provisional interview with their start date conditional on A Game certification. Employers that choose to hire A Game certified candidates can, at no charge, join the A Game JobLink page and verify certification.

"All of our employees complete A Game certification as the first step of their training program. " The most common way employers choose to utilize the A Game certification is to include the training and certification as a critical component of their on-boarding process for new employees. Employers can purchase a group of A Game certifications (volume discounts apply, click here for a customized quote) receiving a list of unique registration codes that can be shared with current and future employees. Even if the online A Game certification course is completed away from the job, it is advised that employers pay their employees for up to four hours of time to take the course. When computerized kiosks are available for trainees on premise they should be allowed to come in before or after a shift to complete the online certification.

"We pay a higher wage to A Game certified employees" Employers may also choose to incentivize A Game training by offering an increased hourly wage to those who achieve certification. In addition to-or in lieu of-an increased wage, employers may choose to offer preferential shift selection, gift cards, movie tickets, or other perks, rewards and incentives to those who hold this credential.

"We reimburse our current employees for their out-of-pocket costs of earning A Game certification." To avoid having to bear the initial brunt of the costs of certifying existing employees, employers may announce to their employees that they will reimburse them the cost of their certification (approximately $50 each) 90 days after completion. Combined with other incentives like an increased hourly wage, a gift card, or another perk or privilege, this is a great way to boost employee retention as to become eligible for reimbursement, the newly certified employee needs to demonstrate work ethic on the job for at least 60 days.
