How Leading Workforce Centers are Utilizing The A Game to Significantly Increase Employer Satisfaction and Keep Youth Employed.

"All youth in our programs complete A Game training and certification before becoming eligible for employment" The most common way workforce development centers utilize A Game training and certification is to build A Game training (usually two 4-hour sessions) into current work readiness training or utilize the training as the foundation of their work readiness training. We offer a variety of training materials, and can even arrange custom training for your staff. Upon completion of the training, youth are given a window of time and access to computers at the workforce center to complete the online certification program. Once they have completed the certification, youth become eligible for employment placement and employers are notified when they are matched with A Game certified youth. We offer a discounted rate for purchasing certifications in a quantity of 100 or more.


"We offer A Game training and certification as an optional program to youth and provide an incentive for them to participate" Some workforce development programs have chosen to offer A Game training and certification as a value added program. In most cases, the training and certification are presented to youth in the same fashion as explained above, but youth are not required to participate. In most cases, a financial incentive or gift card is offered to youth that complete the training and certification and preferred work site placement is offered to certified youth.


"Employers in our community help us fund A Game training and certification and have youth complete the certification on the job if we train them first" In tight economic times, youth budgets are often among the first to be trimmed. In some communities, workforce centers have partnered with the local employers to provide A Game training and certification to area youth. With this model, the workforce center provides the training at no expense to the youth or the employer and the employer funds the cost and provides the time for individual certification for the youth on the job.


Some workforce centers have also worked with employers to sponsor the entire program for the center with an agreement that the sponsoring employer gets 'first dibs' on the top youth talent coming from the center.
